The Tim Horton Tribute Book by Tim Griggs,
The Tim Horton Tribute Book by Tim Griggs,
This book contains stories which have never been made public before, never-before published photos of Horton, newspaper articles, memorabilia, and personal documents, all of which, when put together, tell Tim's life story. Drawn from Lori Horton's own private collection of photos and clippings, The Tim Horton Tribute Book traces the famous defenseman's life and career from his humble start in northern Ontario, to the Pittsburgh Hornets, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Buffalo Sabres. The authors have interviewed many of Tim's old teammates, including Frank Mahovlich, Eddie Shack, and George Armstrong; together with Lori Horton's memories, the book gives a rare, close-up view of the great hockey player's life up to his tragic death in a car accident in 1974, and his legacy in the NHL and through the Tim Horton Donut chain.
